The HGV Dock Wheel Stop is a 1200mm long steel and rubber buffer, designed to halt large vehicles at loading docks and bays. The buffer stops the vehicle from rolling into adjacent buildings, hitting pedestrians or damaging machinery. Each unit is made from high-quality hot-dip galvanised steel which means it won't rust or corrode even if it is chipped or scratched and provides a long lasting safety item.
The strong steel frame is powder-coated yellow for high visibility. This is complemented by the large rubber dock bumper mounted onto the front of the unit. This bumper acts as a soft buffer upon impact and won’t damage the vehicle. The design of the wheel stop means the fixings are also protected by the bumper, ensuring no damage will occur. To help drivers see the wheel stops in place each unit is fitted with 2 highly visible recessed yellow strips, providing excellent visibility for indoor or outdoor use.
The wheel stops are pre-drilled and should be bolted into concrete for maximum security. It is recommended that an assessment of the area is done before installation. The bumper should be placed far enough away from the building, loading dock or machinery to ensure no impact can occur.
